Frequently Asked Questions
Is Capture ADA compatible?
Yes. Rigid material can feature raised graphics and Grade 2 Braille. Clear acrylic lenses meeting ADA requirements can be used with paper inserts.
What type of paper do you recommend for inserts?
We use Hewlett-Packard 32#, 98% white laser paper.
Do you provide templates for paper inserts?
Each order is unique. We can assist you with setting up templates.
What is the recommended thickness of rigid inserts?
Capture accommodates engraving stock up to 1/16 inch thick.
What is the thickness of the clear lens?
The polycarbonate clear lens to cover paper inserts is .020th of an inch thick. Clear acrylic used to meet ADA guidelines is 1/16 inch thick.
Are stock lengths of material available?
Aluminum extrusions come in 5' and 10' lengths. Polycarbonate lenses are available up to 4' in length. Custom-size lenses are available.
Is Capture available in cut-to-size kits?
Capture is available in cut-to-size, ready-to-assemble and decorate kits, or as finished, ready-to-install signs.
Are Capture extrusions interchangeable with Slatz in a directory?
With the exception of the "Jumbo" extrusion, they are all interchangeable in a directory only. A separately mounted Jumbo extrusion can be used as a coordinated header or footer however.
Does Capture fit on Slatz end caps?
The single faceplates do not work with Slatz end caps and therefore cannot replace Slatz in a previous installation of single signs. New mounting will have to be used but since the spacing for the same size sign matches up, you can work with the same mounting holes.
